The Richmond, Southport
Built about six years ago as a pub by a private operator and underperforming, The Richmond was bought by Joseph Holts with a view to re-developing it in order to realise its potential. Faced with an interior of mix-and-match furniture and styling, and an empty barn of an end room with a high ceiling, we put in a new bar, new simple balustrading and a huge feature fireplace clad in stone. New furniture , lighting and carpeting throughout completed the transformation from a visual mish-mash of a pub to a clean, comfortable warm contemporary interior that Joseph Holts were very happy with.
